Latrell Mitchell Teams Up With Shannon Noll for Taree Country Festival 2026

Latrell Mitchell 2026

There’s something special about a country festival that brings an entire community together and this November, Latrell Mitchell is bringing the Taree Country Festival home for its second year — with Australian music favourite Shannon Noll joining the party.

Taking over the Taree Showgrounds on Saturday, November 21, the all-ages festival will serve up a full day of live music, professional rodeo action, food, entertainment and plenty of country spirit. Presented by Winmarra Foundation and J&J Rodeo, it’s shaping up as a celebration of regional Australia and the community Mitchell calls home.

A proud Biripi, Wiradjuri, Worimi and Gumbaynggirr man, the NRL star is once again putting his support behind an event designed to bring families, friends and the wider community together.

“Taree Country Festival is all about bringing everyone together for a massive day of music, rodeo and country pride. There's something for everyone, whether you're coming for the rodeo, the music, the food or just to have a good day with the family,” Mitchell said.
“We've got Shannon Noll joining us this year, which is going to be unreal, alongside some of the best rodeo action and entertainment. I can't wait to get back up there, see everyone and have a proper country day out together. Bring your families, bring your mates and we'll see you in Taree.”

And when it comes to delivering a soundtrack for a big Australian country day out, Shannon Noll feels right at home.
More than two decades after first capturing the country's attention on Australian Idol, Noll has become one of Australia's most recognisable performers. His unmistakable voice and down-to-earth stage presence have carried him through a career packed with hit records and countless live shows around the country.

He’ll headline the festival on Saturday, bringing his catalogue of crowd favourites to the Taree Showgrounds, while also opening another chapter in his career with new album The Road In Front Of Me, arriving September 25.

Noll won't be the only artist taking the stage either, with more names still to be announced as the festival draws closer.

While the music and rodeo will provide plenty of reasons to make a weekend of it, there’s also a bigger purpose behind the event. A portion of funds raised will benefit Winmarra Foundation, co-founded by Mitchell, helping support programs focused on cultural connection, mentorship, community engagement and fostering the next generation of leaders.

This year, that fundraising effort will extend beyond the festival itself, with Winmarra Foundation introducing a special corporate fundraising evening at Taree Showgrounds on Friday, November 20.

Hosted by comedian Andy Saunders, the Friday night event will bring supporters, partners and community members together ahead of the main festival for an evening dedicated to raising funds for Winmarra Foundation's work with young people across regional and remote communities.

Guests will hear from Mitchell alongside special guest Wayne Bennett and professional bull rider Zane Hall, with the night also providing an opportunity to meet some of the athletes preparing to compete in Saturday's rodeo.
And there’s a little taste of Saturday night thrown in for good measure, with Noll performing a special live set exclusively for guests ahead of his festival headline appearance the following day.

With rodeo riders, live country entertainment, one of Australia's best-known voices and a strong focus on community, Taree Country Festival is building into much more than a day at the showgrounds. It's a weekend designed to bring people together — and a chance for Taree to put on a proper country celebration.

Taree Country Festival 2026 takes place at Taree Showgrounds on Saturday, November 21, presented by Winmarra Foundation and J&J Rodeo. More artists and festival details will be announced in the lead-up to the event.
