Taylor Moss Returns with a Swampy Country Anthem About Living All In

Taylor Moss 2026

There’s nothing quite like a scare to put life into sharp focus.

The things that once felt urgent suddenly lose their weight, while the people, places and moments that really matter become impossible to ignore.

That perspective sits at the heart of *Gravestone*, the new single from award-nominated Australian country artist Taylor Moss and the latest glimpse of her highly anticipated second album, *Double Life*.

For Moss, the song takes the familiar idea of “living life to the fullest” and gives it a little more bite. There’s humour in it, a touch of darkness, and plenty of that all-in attitude that has become such a natural part of her music.

“I think we all know the cliché of ‘live life to the fullest’, but when you’ve actually had moments where you realise how quickly life can change, it hits differently,” says Moss. “Life is short. Really short. I don’t want to sit on the sidelines of my own life. I want to be all in.”

Rather than treating mortality as something heavy, *Gravestone* flips the idea on its head and turns it into a reason to live harder. It’s about burning the candle at both ends, saying yes before fear has time to talk you out of it, and chasing the things that make life feel big.

That outlook comes from somewhere very real.

“I’ve had a few medical scares that have completely changed my perspective,” Moss says. “You realise you don’t actually know how much time you have. So why not go after the things you want? Why wait for the weekend? Why wait for the ‘right’ time?”

The song’s central line captures that feeling neatly: “I’ll have livin’ in my heart and glitter in my bones when I go to my gravestone.”

It’s a lyric that says just about everything *Gravestone* is trying to say. This isn’t a song about the end. It’s a song about making sure there’s plenty of life packed in before you ever get there.

Produced by Michael De Lorenzis, the track leans into swampy country textures, driving energy and Moss’ instantly recognisable vocal style. There’s a rough edge to it, but also a sense of fun — ambitious, restless and just wild enough to suit the message.

*Gravestone* follows previous single *Megaphone* and continues to open the door on *Double Life*, an album that looks set to mark another significant step forward for one of Australia’s most recognisable independent country artists.

Moss has already built an impressive catalogue behind her. Her ARIA-nominated debut album *Firecracker* reached #2 on the ARIA Country Albums Chart and #7 on the Australian Albums Chart, while also earning three Golden Guitar nominations. Along the way, she has scored three #1 Australian Country Radio singles with *Get It Girl*, *Country Proud* and *The Women Who Raised Me*.

Her live career has been just as strong. Moss has appeared on major stages including CMC Rocks and the Gympie Music Muster, represented Australia at CMA Fest in Nashville and toured nationally alongside international country star LeAnn Rimes.

With more than 17 million streams to her name and a growing reputation as one of Australian country music’s most compelling independent voices, Moss now finds herself moving into a new chapter — one that sounds a little bigger, a little bolder and perhaps a little more fearless.

And if *Gravestone* is anything to go by, there’s one idea she wants to leave ringing in your ears: Don’t wait until you’re six feet under to start living.

*Gravestone* is out now.
