Denvah At 2026 Groundwater Country Music Festival: A Perfect Blend Of Beach Vibes & Country Sounds

Groundwater Country Music Festival has secured its place as one of Australia's most beloved country music events, and 2026 is shaping up to be another unforgettable year.

One artist fans are particularly excited about is Denvah, an emerging star with a deep connection to the festival having won the 2023 Groundwater Kickstarter.

Denvah's journey with Groundwater began with a winning moment in 2023 through the Kix Start competition, which marked her very first experience at the festival.

"It'll always be special because my very first one was through Kix and that was my first experience to it," she says, reflecting on that milestone. "So, anytime someone mentions Groundwater, I'm like, 'love, nothing but love'."

For Denvah, Groundwater isn't just another music festival, it's a unique and relaxing experience that stands out from the usual festival hustle

 She describes it as "one of the most relaxing festivals you'll ever go to," with its perfect combination of beautiful beachside location and great organisation.

"Sometimes people forget about the not so great parts [of festivals], but with Groundwater, 'cause the beach is right there; everything's so organised. And you've got the app set out for you – it's such a magical time and so relaxing."

What makes Groundwater so special in Denvah's eyes is its pairing of beach atmosphere with country music. "I think it's the fact they've combined beach and country music. There's something about that that really tickles my fancy."

Beyond the music, the festival offers so many activities and sights while still maintaining an intimate and immersive feeling. "There's so many different things to do while still being in amongst the festival. It's such a genius setup."

As for the festival's 2026 line-up, Denvah is excited to share her new music with fans. She hints at having "a bunch of new music coming out soon, which I'm so excited about. So there'll be heaps of new material, things people haven't heard before, which is always exciting."

She's also been inspired by attending other artists' concerts and performances, leading her to make some changes to her own show.

"This year, I've tried to make a point to go to as many concerts and shows as I could. . . It's given me a few ideas for my show.

"So there's a few different things I've never done before, which is always exciting. Could fall flat on its face, which, you know, trial and error, but we're excited nonetheless."

In addition to Denvah, the festival line-up also features fellow Queenslander and rising artist Tyla Rodrigues, who Denvah describes warmly.

"There's people who sing and you're like, 'okay, radio'. Like, she sounds like honey. Yeah, that's probably the best way to describe it."

Rodrigues herself reveals a passion for being right in the middle of the action. "I'm a front rower, for sure. I am right there at the front, and if I can't make it up there, then I'm somewhere dancing."

Denvah's love of the festival extends beyond the stage. "If you spot me, come up to me, I'll always say hi. I love a chinwag, so, yeah, never, never hesitate to come up. If you want to, obviously.

"I'm such a festival frolicker. I'm not one to be backstage a lot, unless I absolutely have too. You'll see me frolicking around, for sure."

This approachable, friendly vibe adds to the spirit of the festival and the connection between artists and fans. Denvah's openness makes the festival experience even more personal and authentic.

When asked to sum up Groundwater for those who have never attended, Denvah doesn't hold back her praise.

"I was very appreciative that people out there are listening, but I would say, you're at the best festival, honestly, in Australia in my opinion. Sit back, relax, enjoy the show."

As the 2026 Groundwater Country Music Festival approaches (16-18 October), it promises a vibrant mix of talent, fresh music, good vibes, and the ever-present sea breeze.
